Horizon Hotel - Ayr

The staff was welcoming and polite and recommended a great restaurant on-site.

Clean rooms with comfy beds. The staff were great. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options. Location was close to the beach and promenade 🌅

the hotel is perfectly clean, has views of the sea. the staff is very friendly and excellent. their rooms are always decent sized and fully-equipped with fresh towels and coffee, as example. it has wonderful, magnificent setting, just next door to beach and town and the gaiety theatre in the evening and seafront. they serve outstanding food, have a wide range of options to choose from. every time in ayr we stay in this property.

Units with a bath.

We had a fab stay, the hotel was homey, clean, with brilliant location right by the sea. We had the family king room and it was perfect in loo.

We enjoyed the lovely big bedroom with a view of the beer garden and sea. And the food was spot on! Lunch and dinner were delicious, while the lounge bar was a great spot to unwind with a drink.

We enjoyed almost every detail of this small hotel, including staff and rooms. Our perfect room had multi-channel TV, ironing facilities and a writing desk. The location of this venue was stunning.

Used the hotel on business and had good check in after which left to own devises which is always nice as appose to previous locations.Nice location right on the beach which as and when the weather was good would be good as appose to being further into the town.

We enjoyed the cooked breakfast however do not feel it was worth £9.50

Unfortunately we did not read that some rooms may be attic rooms and we had one, there were a lot of stairs to climb!

Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, clean comfortable room and really tasty breakfasts! We will visit again soon.

Felt that the hotel would benefit from more secure parking facility

We were impressed by the staff and their professional but friendly service. We also liked the room which, though quite small, had a space with two proper comfortable chairs.There is nothing worse than having to stand up or sit on the bed all the time.

The family room was spacious, but the shower had poor water pressure.

The most lovely thing was the friendliness & willingness of all the staff to help & be hospitable at any time, & with every request.I Especially appreciated the attention of Craig the manager, in taking the trouble to personally bring me blankets, & sort out my lights in my room on my arrival. That was really great & a lovely welcome, as I was tired (& grumbly!)

I never like too much food on the plate. I would have to say that the food was not great.

Location and staff were as usual amazing :)

Really ,really need some new mattresses as ours was very uncomfortable and hard

The Horizon Hotel features beautifully maintained common areas with fine sea views. The staff were accommodating, ensuring that our needs were met swiftly, which I greatly appreciated as a senior traveler.

More seating in common areas would be helpful.
